Newham Community Learning is a local community Trust, consisting of six schools working together in partnership in the west of Newham, east London.  In our second year of operation, we are committed to delivering the following five core objectives:

The way in which we aim to deliver these is outlined in our Trust Improvement Plan, available here.  Our Strategy and Structures document (July 2023) describes how our governance arrangements are structured to support the achievement of the core objectives outlined in the Trust Improvement Plan.  

In brief, our Trust governance arrangements operate as follows:

 – our Trust Board sets overall vision and strategy in line with our core purpose: to provide an excellent education for all young people in our community   – our Standards and Community Committee oversees the quality of the education provided in all our schools
 – our Finance and Resources Committee oversees governance and compliance, and provides operational support to our schools
 – our Growth Committee ensures that we equally focus on being part of a school and Trust led improvement system
