A world-class education for young people in Newham
Newham Community Learning is a local Trust, committed to working together as a group of excellent schools serving our community. We share a common vision of providing an exceptional education for all our students, from aged 2 to 16.
Our Trust was formed further to the merger of the Leading Learning Trust (two primary schools) with Newham Community Schools Trust (four secondary schools) on 01 September 2022.
Our six schools in the west of the London borough of Newham are thriving, with very positive outcomes, which makes us one of the highest performing Trusts in the country. We have a shared commitment to working together to provide a world-class education for young people in Newham, and to further developing as centres of excellence for teaching and learning.
We are highly ambitious for our students, and believe that every young person can succeed. Our students are supported by our committed team of teaching and non-teaching staff, all of whom are encouraged to pursue their own learning and professional development across our schools.
Our schools all provide safe, calm learning environments, where all members of the school community treat each other with kindness and respect.
We look forward to hearing from you; please use our Contact Us page to get in touch.

Working in partnership, whilst maintaining the distinctive local ethos and identities of our individual schools, was one of the core founding principles of our Trust when we formed in 2015. Partnership continues to shape the way we work, as does:
- inclusivity: a steadfast commitment to each of the schools’ comprehensive values, inclusive practices and non-selective admissions policies;
- breadth of our offer: ensuring that each of our schools offer a broad range of curricular and extra-curricular learning and experiences;
- collaboration: working together to provide an even better education across our schools;
- recognition of our staff: articulating and celebrating the contribution that our teaching and non-teaching staff make to the success of our schools; and
- commitment to our local community: working together in schools which are all located in a limited geographical area.
